Magic of the cup
|
What a load of nonsense drip fed to football fans by the bbc and more recently bt sport . A once fantastic competition now ruined by money and greed , random kick off times played to largely half empty stadiums watching reserve sides from both the premier league and more recently the championship.
Soon to be scrapped replays semi finals at Wembley and the final 5.30 ! It probably won’t even exist in 20 years time.

Nobody understands 'the magic of the cup' more than our very own David Gold. He is the proud owner of the oldest F.A. Cup in existence and deserves a medal (but wouldn't want the publicity) for buying it and keeping it out of the hands of any Johnny Foreigner who simply wouldn't understand the traditions such as asking the manager to field woefully under strength teams and suffer hammerings at the likes of Nottingham Forest.
God bless him and long may our runs in the magic cups continue

I've just noticed all 5th round matches are to be played midweek with evening kick offs, in order to pander to the likes of Klopp and Guardiola.
This is the final death nell of what was once the greatest knock out competition in world sport.
Football isn't dead to me yet due to the emotional tie to West ham, but it's in a coma and I'm considering turning off the life support.
